How long at Savvy?
I've been at Savvy for only a month as of June 1, 2016.
What is your home town:
I am a native! Very few of us around. Lincolnton North Carolina I am a native! Very few of us around.
What are you passionate about in this industry?
I am passionate about helping people not only feel beautiful on the outside, but also finding their inner beauty as well. My motto is I want to touch more hearts than I do hair.
From where does the inspiration for your job inspiration come?
My parents have always said that I have a natural talent for doing hair. And I couldn't decide if I wanted to do hair, or be a counselor, or even a massage therapist. But I feel that with the choice I made to do hair I truly do get the best of all three!
My inspiration came from within, and I believe that God gives everyone a natural born talent and I've been blessed with the opportunity to fulfill my calling while working at Savvy.
What do you like most about working at Savvy?
What I enjoy most about working at Savvy, is that our owner Pat Helmandollar has created a culture of community that promotes team work, success and encouragement for all.
What service is your “specialty”?
As a new understudy here at Savvy, I have yet to discover my own specialties. However, at this stage in my career I enjoy connecting with all of the clients and providing with excellence whatever services are needed
I have so many favorite quotes, but here are two of my most favorite. Because of the experiences I've had in my own life, I have come to appreciate the truth that "A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor."
And also, "A beautiful life does not just happen, it is built daily by prayers, love, humility, and sacrifices."
personal comments or favorite quotes? (Pets? Fav. Movies/books? Famous people? Something that makes you different???)
While we are all uniquely different in our own ways, I do have a unique story to tell. I was born with a naturalability to write with my left hand just like my dad however, when I was in first grade my teacher both focus and demanded that I write with my right hand instead. Her reason being, "girls don't write with their left hand." Therefore, it has caused a life long struggle for me because my brain thinks like a left handed person but my body works like a right handed person.
On a lighter note, I have a cat named Lola and I love her dearly. She has been apart of my life for two years, and she has brought me a tremendous amount of joy. I'm not one to have favorites, so here are the top two movies I enjoy watching. Elizabethtown, a story about love and acceptance. And Courageous, a story about marriage and commitment.
